These days there are so many
ways to communicate with people: phone
calls, email, sms, printed note, putting a calendar entry, and so on.
The memo pad is an all-in-ine entry mechanism for your calendar,
organizer, address book, email, cell phone, journal, printer, and
shopping list. It doesn't replace other tools like the
email software that you use - rather, it allows you to get some things
done quickly. For example, rather than fire up Microsoft Word to
create an excuse note for your child, you could type up a quick message
in the memo pad and send it to the printer. Or zap a grocery list to
your spouse's cell phone.
Zap
a quick message to your (or, better, your spouse's) cell phone.
Use a
registered first name (whose cell phone number is already set up in
Preferences), a colon (":") and the message. Then click onthe Cell
button. That's it!

Make a todo-list. The !
indicates a floating task - i.e., one which remains on the calendar
until checked off.
|
|
Enter a schedule. Example shown here is a homework assignment
schedule. You can put this list into the calendar or the list
planner. Putting it directly on the calendar will not keep these
together as a list. If you put it in the list planner, you can
work with this as one list. You can even easily share the list with
other students.

Plan your day by making a list. This is a way to make multiple
entries into your calendar at one time.
|
|
Send a quick email to a family or group member from right here. |

|
|
 |
Make an entry in your journal. If you use a group member's first
name with a colon, the message goes to his or her journal.
|
|
Print a message from here really quickly - no need to fire up a
separate application. |

|
Create a shopping list and get coupons and special offers before you go
shopping. (Available in a future release.) |
